Remembering Emma
11 years ago today my world shattered. The breaking apart of something whole. Trying to move through life with pieces missing is unsettling. There are things I lean to in order to create some way to exist in this world without breaking down. I remember the good. The beautiful smile. The infectious laugh. The need for sparkles and glitter. The hugs and music. We loved to dance in the kitchen to really loud music. I acknowledge just how blessed I am to be able to be by the water during her anniversary week. To inhale the salt and sea and wind. To breathe truly deeply. Let it all go. Feel it.
Years go by. Always comes around. This feeling. The missing. The hole. The what if. Same questions with no answers. Bigger than the whole sky. .This year i got a new Tattoo. Writing on my heart and We walked the Jimmy fund last October. For her 10 year anniversary. Keeping her in the present. Thank you to all who reached out. Thank you for my friends sending me beautiful flowers and chocolate covered strawberries! 🍓 her favorite. We went to Flatbread again this year. Another favorite. Always remembered…always so loved. Till we meet again my sweet girl Emma Louise. Keep shining bright. Love Momma.
